Creating a Starfish Artwork

When considering making a starfish necklace, put a sheet of paraffin paper atop any plane surface. Use glue for drawing the starfish shape little enough to be used as a necklace pendant.

Use a toothpick for fixing the shape, if you unintentionally mess up your drawing. Create a letter “V” out of a paper clip. Place both ends of this clip into the adhesive at the top of any of the arms of your starfish. Sprinkle glitter or sand lightly across the starfish shape, and shake off all excess grains. Allow the starfish to dry for at least twelve hours. After peeling the paraffin paper off the starfish’s back, loop a chain or string through the clip. The starfish is now ready to be used as a necklace charm or window décor.

When considering making a pasta starfish, draw a starfish shape on a cardboard or construction paper, remembering that it has five arms simply like a star. You may ask your teacher or parent to print a starfish picture from the internet. Cut out your finished starfish shape. Put the starfish either on a paper plate or in a cake pan. Lightly apply glue to the whole shape. Sprinkle a small amount of the pasta over the starfish, covering all or most of the surface. Use your hands for pressing the pasta down lightly so that it will stick. Allow the starfish to dry out overnight.
